Tell me a little about what you do
Melody Johnson is the owner and founder of The Course Consultant and podcast host of The Course Consultant and Customer Success Show. She helps group coaching founders grow their recurring revenue through customer success and streamlining systems.

What made you decide to go down the road to creative entrepreneurship?
I’ve always been a daydreamer and teacher. So much of my life I have either been ideating an exciting new process improvement or helping people see the big picture to achieve their goals. As a process enthusiast and systems nerd, I knew sitting in a corporate chair was far from what I envisioned in my life. My spouse and I move frequently and sitting in bed or on the couch doing work felt much more manageable and simplified (not to mention more comfortable!).

What advice can you share with other creatives who are struggling?
Become your biggest fan. Celebrate your small and big wins alike. Surround yourself with those that challenge AND cheer you on. Invest in people that care about you and want to see you succeed, even if it means challenging you beyond what you can see right now.

What’s a favorite inspiring quote of yours?

Can you share a favorite marketing tip with us?
Create an affiliate marketing program filled with your fans and colleagues. One of my favorite tools is Thrivecart and it’s such a simplified way to manage and market your existing programs and curriculum – while also celebrating and supporting your peers and colleagues. Once you setup your affiliate program with Thrivecart, put in the effort to provide your affiliates with marketing assets that help promote you!

What are your five favorite things right now?
Squishmallows, Skinny Girl Margarita Mix (seriously, yum), Drip Coffee, Clickup, and Star Trek Voyageur (Nerdy – I know!)
