Today we’re spotlighting Laurie, owner of Two Hearts and a Planner, a full service wedding planning company based out of Scottsdale, Arizona. Laurie has planned over three hundred weddings and continues to create gorgeous events for couples all over the valley!

Laurie, What made you decide to go down the road to creative entrepreneurship?
I believe we are all creative first of all, wedding planning allows me to work from home, evolve with every couple and use my gifts for calm, encouragement, design and organization.

What advice can you share with other creatives who are struggling in their own journey?
Become a part of the community you are working in. Make personal connections with others in your field, they are often open to a coffee or lunch appointment. I think if you frame it that you admire their business model and would they be willing to share advice. I think most people are generous with their knowledge.

Fill in the gap with trust. This is my moto or quote for all aspects of my life, business and personal relationships. To expand on it would be don’t take things personally. If not we get momentarily crippled.

Would you share your favorite marketing tip?
My favorite marketing tip would be always evolving with current technology or trends. Podcasts, blogs, Instagram, Instastories.

What are your five favorite things right now?
Trying to learn calligraphy, reading, feeding my body only healthy foods that serve me, (except red vines or a great home baked cookie), looking forward to hiking season and exploring spirituality.

What song do you listen to when you need to get motivated?
Personal motivation comes from a great Contemporary Christian Song but I love songs from the 80’s!
