Owning a business is hard! You wear so many hats and some days you actually have no idea what to do. So you sit down at your computer, you read business articles, you send off a few emails, you watch some YouTube videos and then it’s 5 pm and you’re not sure where the day went.
The feeling is so discouraging BUT I have good news! Because I’ve figured out a quick tip to beat that feeling!
Try writing a “What I did” List. Kind of a to-do list in reverse. Every time you complete a task, no matter how small, write it down! At the end of the day, you’re going to be surprised at how much you’ve done! Typically when I do this, my list is twice as long as a regular to do list that I set for myself for a day.
To combat slower days, I also write a master task list of bigger goals and list the small steps needed to complete that bigger goal underneath. That way I can refer to one of them if I am not sure what to do with my day. For more on goal setting, check out Day 80 in my 100 series right here!
